I've had another LSU error (E7-21) before on a near-new Frontier. Checked all cables OK, sim 61 LSU test always failed. Ordered new LSU, fitted it and same error was still there...... couldn't believe it! Took another LSU from a workshop machine and it worked perfectly.

I hate to say it Dustin, but my experience so far with the Frontier LSU's hasn't been great. There is a chance your replacement LSU is also bad too.

If sim test 61 fails and you are sure the LSU harness and control board is correctly seated/plugged in, you have to try another LSU. That was the case with me. Haven't had any other problems with E7 codes other than that one time on this series.

That's the crazy part of it. I took the laser out of a known good working machine and fitted it with the same error. Put that laser back in the "parts" machine and no code.
Just an update, I have also swapped LSU Control PWB and black drum unit to no avail. Any other ideas?? I am lost!!! THANKS!!!

Maybe it's a flat spot on the reverse roller. Sorry, had to do it.
I know I should be ashamed of myself. Strangely though, I am not.

Finally got back to working on this machine.
I have swapped the PCU, MFP and LSU mother pwb, as well as another laser and the problem is still there!!!! Any other ideas, I am about to call this (hate to say it) an unfixable machine. Thanks for your help thus far!!

Maybe a DC power issue? There are several connections on the DC power & HL DCDC power boards leading to the LSU mother board in the circuit diagram. Everything else you have done would be fine.

Good luck man, this one is weird!
