ARM550N (Please wait) issues with DF

Had a machine start saying PLEASE WAIT and not letting you select a 2 TO 2 or a 2 TO 1 copy when your using the document feeder....then I changed the document feeder out with another one and it didn't make much of a difference....so i returned the original document feeder and changed the SCAN PWB and so far the problem has not resurfaced....anyone seen this before and am I on the right track......

Seen this once in school, check the connector on top of the CIS unit, if its loose or maybe oxidation on a pin can make it do that.
But the CIS is used on 2 to 2 and will give that message.

Did you notice any E6-11 trouble codes recorded?

Run sim 63-02 shading. Check if the DSPF lamp is working.

If you've been unable to select 2-2 or 2-1 (because they are greyed out), you will usually find a E6-11 code listed. This is on any DSPF. The code is a usual suspect of the DSPF lamp not lighting up, causing a white correction shading trouble. This can due to a problem with the inverter pwb or possibly the scanner pwb, like in your case.

My experience of this problem is it will usually happen on bootup or if the client opens/closes the DSPF covers. This will force the DSPF lamp on. If your problem has not returned, I'm quite sure it will be OK from now on.
