Yeah I downloaded that but it doesn't prompt you through the setup like a normal driver.I sent the file to the customer to have thier people try it.To tell you the truth I can say they just don't want to do it.Another location of the customers is already setup for this all they'd have to do is replicate it.It boils down to them being wineasses!!!!Comment

I understand that. We have a couple of local businesses like that. Won't buy our product because their IT dept are used to Canon or whatever and don't want to take the time and effort to change over even though we offer full installation support and the whole 9 yards. Disappointing as we are the local company and the one they like is 150 miles away and costs them more in intial costs and maintenance. Go figure!Comment

Tell me about it,I just got a call from our customers home office. The dumbasses just deleted the one that was working. Now they said we'll fix it but we need to charge you. What crooks they're paid to support them on their server,as well as their software, now they're adding this BS on.Comment

Subject: Installing a Sharp MFP on a Linux Operating System
Description: Modern Linux Systems can Print to the Sharp MFPs.
Details: This document shows how to install the Sharp PPD on a Linux system for printing.
Prerequisites:
A Computer on the network running a Linux Operating System that supports CUPS.
A user account with sudo or administrator privileges on the Linux System.
A Sharp MFP with the PostScript Kit enabled on the same network as the computer.
The Sharp Linux PPD from the Sharp Service website.
NOTE:
We are using Ubuntu Linux version 10.04 for this procedure; the printer installation
procedure for most other Linux systems will be similar.
All of the images were captured from the Linux computer as the printer was being
installed.
We are using the Sharp MX-C401 for the purposes of this document; the procedure will
be the same for other Sharp MFPs.
