With electrical noise visible in the display also. Any ideas? I was told it is probably the lvds pwb but just asking if anybody has had this problem before. Thanks!

I'm guessing you are talking about a machine like the AR235/AR275 or similar. When these machines op panels change from a green background to orange or red, you either have a maintenance overdue, low toner or other trouble code going on.
The darker areas, which does look like 'electrical noise' is normal as these panels get older. Changing the display contrast helps, but I honestly wouldnt worry about it. You should be concentrating on why the panel is red, instead of green.
Good luck mate. -
if he is referring to the complete display being red and moving static lines ( no content on display) it could be the ribbon cable goin to the op panel. i have seen several 350/450 and 355/455 do this, just inspect and trim the end of the ribbon cable if needed.
if u can see the info on the screen fine and just the background has changed color, i would go with Wazza's suggestion
the model would helpComment

Doh! Just shoot me! It was an MX-3100N. Just for the record you couldn't see anything except red with horizontal lines. I replaced the entire op panel and that took care of it. It was probably just the lvds pwb but I just wanted to get these guys up and running.Comment
