    AR205 L1-00

Hey guys, i got a old AR205 that is randomly throwing L1-00. Customer unplugs the copier and that gets it going for a while. Machine has about 260k on it.

Customer is out of town and it's hit and miss when it happens. Ive never had a MHPS fail on one of these but i suppose it's possible it's getting flakey.

Any body have any suggestions for when i go out and take a peek?

    Possibly the MHPS.

Clean & lubricate the scan rails is also what I'd be doing. If it is out of your way, do both & run scanner sim 1-1. Shouldn't be too hard to work this one out.

Well i think i had a weak/failing mirror motor. I could not replicate the error code, MHPS tested fine. I cleaned and regreased the rails, when you pulled the optics out they were smooth, when you pushed them back in it felt like it was "lugging". I happened to have a brand new AR163 (don't ask) sitting on the show room floor so i stole it to swap parts. Put in the new motor and it was smooth in both directions. Then it threw a cable on me while i was pushing the opitics back and forth. FML...

Any ways i think it's fixed.
