[Error Code] phase yellow front 141

I have a tech working all day on a MX6201. He just changed the laser unit and the BK drum and every time he does 50-22 it comes back with that error or 131.
he put everything back to default according to the manual.
Removed the drum and DV unit 5 times. He did a color PM 3 days ago and everything was fine and after he replaced the LSU now it won't go past that to do calibration and he says yellow looks terrible. He did also change the Tranfer belts and gear.
    help please

A quick check, since the LSU is new, maybe the skew adj. is way off. What is the defect with yellow, poor or uneven density? banding? voids? Fill us in....Possibly a scan of the yellow copy quality uploaded would more than likely get you answers faster.
Where the heck is my spring hook?

If he changed the primary transfer belt and the bushings for the steel rollers, make sure the contact sprins on the black bushings are installed properly for each color.

          Am I reading this right......??

The color registration errors are only appearing after a new LSU was fitted? Reading your post, it describes the problems only happening since a new LSU was fitted. It is possible that you have a faulty/damaged LSU. There could be mirror shift inside causing the phase errors. Has the horizontal steel positioning rod been double checked? I have seen similar phase errors & shifting rego caused by that positioning rod not seated correctly in the rear frame. Has the cabling to the LSU been double checked? Bent pins maybe???

What was the reason the LSU was changed in the first place? I look after alot of C-Dragons & Venus machines, and I have changed a LSU only once ever (they are usually very reliable).

Something else I just thought of....

When you run 50-22, does the skew value for CMY change each time it is run, and do they have a value much higher than +/- 4.0, giving an NG error too?

no, it just gives that message. i'm not sure of the value.
The lsu got replaced because this machines has over a million color copies and the run the heck out of it and they have been having this PCQ problem for a while. I don't have a copy of the copies. Our DSS came and he said to replace the LSU so we did. we have replaced just about everything else and the problem keeps coming back. The phase error is the first time it happens on this machine. we ordered yellow DV unit and the drives since the machine has so many color copies on it.

I'm still curious why someone would say to replace the LSU.
We have easily 15 C-Dragons & Venus machines with color pages over 1million. I regularly work on a MX7000N with 3mill on color, 1.5mill B/W. The LSU is the original. The LSU usually has nothing to do with the C/Q. It will give a trouble code first if there is something wrong with it.

Do you still have the original LSU? If this is only happening since replacing the LSU, it is obviously something related to that new LSU.

that's what we thought that the new LSU caused it, but the old LSu got put back on and it was still throughing that code.
The tech went out there today and replaced the color drive unit, the transfer unit and the yellow DV unit. it's all good now.
                  Thanks for your help
