guys i have a MX2600N machine that gives me L4-06 constantly i have changed black dev motor, Primary Transfer belt unit, PCU pwb, vertical drive, to no avail, the machine has been in the shop for a mth or so. i was reading a post here that says the main drive can cause this?can someone shed some light on this? also what else i can change/check to get rid of this problem?thanks in advance.

L4-06 on any MX color machine is Transfer Unit Lift Trouble. Basically, the problem is to do with the Transfer belt Up/Down cam or clutches not working correctly. There are many bulletins on this issue. I will forward these to you.
Your machine has 2 clutches for driving the transfer belt, one forward, one reverse. You can run the sim tests for these in sim 6-03.
On any new MX machine, there is only a small chance it is going to be a problem with the main drive unit, because the modifications to prevent this have been done already. I'd be checking/replacing the transfer belt lift clutches on the main drive unit. Also check the interrupter sensors in the rear frame which are activated by the transfer belt unit.

There is a bulletin regarding this but it does not list the 2600 as one of the models. TT-20177. I have had 5 of these on B401's and the clutch worked every time.
Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

yes, take the belt out and check the up/down cam is smooth & not binding. After that, is most likely a clutch fault.
