[Electrical] sharp AR 502 copier shuts off

    Hello,
I have sharp ar 502 copier that shuts down.(just like if it was off, except pwr switch is in on position) to get it to copy i turn switch to off and back to on, after making copies and its just waiting/in ready mode does the same thing.I was thinking power supply or drive board.

Has anyone seen this problem before?

As always any help is greatly appreciated,

    THANK YOU IN ADVANCE....

Check for cold solder on the power transistors in the DC power supply.

        Zootech is right as usual.

I saw the same thing myself many years ago. Had to see the poor solder joint to believe it, but it fixed the problem. Was an AR337 in my uncles office.

I'd always heard about this problem/fix, but that was the only time I was ever involved with this particular symptom.
