    VNC viewer remote

hello guys, happy new year too everyone, i have a question, my first for the new year
i was doing some experiments with using real vnc viewer to do a remote front panel on a sharp MXM-2600N copier at work, my question is could i do a remote from my home a couple of blocks away to do a remote front panel to the same copier? real vnc viewer ask for the ip address of the pc that is going to be connected to the copier, however when i put the ip on my home pc, trying to access over the internet, it dont work, can someone who has knowledge of this help me out please?i am trying to do a remote front panel over the net with vnc, thanks again.

First you have to access the other network with a remote session such as "Go to Assist" or any of the others. Once you have that connection you can access the remote panel of the MFP with VNC or Sharp's Printer Admin Utility5.

Enable the 2600N to firstly accept remote access. This is done in System Settings, Operation Settings. Change the Remote Operational Authority to 'Allowed'.

If you want to access the machine without accepting the attempt at the MFP side, enable 'Operation from specified PC'. Enter the IP address of the host into the field given.

You need to be connected to their network first, due to passwords & security not letting you in otherwise, unless you have a direct access to the machine.
