Main drive, delivery unit, registration unit, process unit, DV box, the frame that holds the DV box in place, along with firmware upgrades and a new PCU.

There's a bulletin about getting L4-02 with everything turning freely, as it seems to be the case.

Clean and lubricate DV joint shaft in the Main Drive Unit (Section 4, item 2 in the parts manual).

However, as you've said you replaced the whole main drive unit, I'm not entirely certain if this would be the fix... Something to check regardless, as the factory grease can still be bad sometimes. Otherwise it looks like the last resort would be to change out the PCU PWB, and you did not list it as something you've replaced.

I'm guessing u haven't tried the sledge hammer technique...

What kind of environment is this machine it? I have heard of some machine in humid environments causing problems with the motors getting jammed from gummed up toner even in the motor themselves.

However sound like you have a board problem more than a Drum motor lock except for a broken toner auger which throws a loop into my statement about it being a board problem.

              Weird problem.

Hope you figure this one out soon, I am interested in how it all gets fixed.

We just ordered another PCU and the EEPROM. It should be here tomorrow. We'll see what happens.

Dc power supply didn't help, mine is definitely in the dv/drum drive, they are getting new machine so I'm done with it.

                      Re: MXM450 - L4-02 code

I have only solved by bulletin MFP-TB-290 or replacing the main drive unit. DV leaks out and finds it way to the main drive unit.
