i am a canon tech going to look at a ar-m450 that is diplaying "maintenence required" is there a service mode to check what it requires? i am told told there is a black smear on one edge paper feed direction? thank you in advance...

SIM 24 in service mode is used to check maintenance cycles. P * C * to enter service mode.Failing to plan is planning to fail!!! -
The service manual lists out all the necessary parts and procedures needed based on a cycle count. Best to get the cycle count of the machine to see what "level maintenance" is needed and then reference the service manual to see what needs replaced, cleaned, checked!Comment
