    MX4100 Calibration problems

When running 44-6 High Density Image Correction I get an error C_HV ERR.
46-74, 46-24,67-24 Calibration all say load A4 or 11X17 paper. Had 11X17 in all 5 paper sources. Anyone seen this?

    Is this a new machine?

Try swapping magenta and cyan drums. See if the error follows to magenta. Also check that your transfer rollers are in place and not fallen out of the plastic holders and the spring that takes the charger to the roller is attached.

I had a guy call me once on this, he got that error and when he tried to run 44-26 he got another one error (can't remember what it was). Turned out the spring on the transfer roller for cyan was not attached after it was rebuilt.
Evil will always triumph because good is dumb.

We had this on a 4100. It ended up being the MC PWB. They had us change the PCU and it didn't fix anything. Just to name a few other things we replaced that didn't fix it... Drums, DV, Primary and Secondary transfer belt, laser shutters.
Do you notice any defects print? Does it look like Cyan is "missing?" The error that we had was for yellow and black and any prints that came out that had those colors were extremely faded almost to the point where there was nothing on the page.

Thanks for the replys. Actually the 11X17 problem has been there since new? I tried to calibrate this machine several months ago as part of preventive maintenance. The copy quality was perfect so I ignored the problem. Just replaced CMYK drums and DV. Image quality is still perfect, just can't calibrate. I did swap the drums and removed clean/check transfer unit.

Ok, went back today. Both issues were caused by the color image density sensor. Cleaned sensors, ran 44-13 with jig.
