    ar-m451u hard disk drive

    Hello guys
today, i put a 80gb ide hard disk drive, in a ar-m451U, and the system do not have assumed the har disk.

I have a doubt, can be because the hard drive was of 80gb?

Or is necessary ad something more?

at propose, the firmware is updated to the last version.

    thanks in advance

80GB should work but why are you adding it to a U version? I believe these came without a hard drive and the only time you would add one is if you are adding the print capability. I'm referencing the ARM455U but I think they are the same. Also was the hard drive previously formatted for Windows? If it is you will need to fdisk the hard drive and remove the formatting.

    Good luck.

    Bil

dingo, to enable ar-m451u work with hard drive, you need to purchase ar-nc8 printer expansion kit with hard disk, ar-nc7 printer expansion kit wont detect hard drive . Another choice to expand the job buid memory, you can put 256mb sd ram sodimm

yes, i know that, but as the copier already have a ar-nc7, i`m thinking that was possible to add a hdd, well..... i will see

          " may be a firmware N versions!!! "

            1. AR-nc7 not designed to work with HDD
            2. HDD must have a capacity of 40GB or 80, but it should be marked as 40GB or should be a copy from 40 to 80.
            3. For NC7 has its own version firmvare Jupiter Vp116 Elem or Jupiter Vp116 non Elem. Depending on the type of flash memory.
If you have a number of activating AR-NC8, then download firmvare Vn116, set HDD 40GB and copier offer immediately enter the number of activation of printer options.

              hello, Vlad

I`m tnikyng that AR-NC8 is = AR-NC7+HDD, and because the copier already have ar-nc7, so i think in HDD.

The only thing that is diferent,is the firmware, in case the AR-NC7, is the v "p", and the ar-nc8 was version "N".

but i do not know, regards

dingo, from the jupiter series touch screen, you can see the different between version "n" and version "p" OR "U".For version "n", the rightside of the screen got extra 2 functions "FILE " and "QUICK FILE".
                actually ar-nc8 = version "n" firmware + hard disk +product key
