MX 2300 Error L4-06

    MX 2300 Error L4-06

    After replacing the BLK developer and Initializing It i get this message L4-06 is this a problem with the transfer belt unit??

    There is no L6-04 error code in the manual for this one. If you have an L6 code that generally means a laser issue.

      Might have it backward how about l4-06

          Trouble content
          When separating the primary transfer belt unit,
          change in the separation position sensor
          characteristics is not detected within the specified time.

          Section
          PCU
          Case 1
          Cause
          Harness connection trouble between the PCU PWB
          and the separation position sensor
          Check and remedy
          Check the harness between the PCU PWB and the separation position sensor.
          Case 2
          Cause
          The belt position sensor is not interrupted or it is always interrupted.
          Belt separation clutch operation trouble
          Check and remedy
          Use SIM6-3 to check the belt separation operation.
          Case 3
          Cause
          The primary transfer belt unit is not installed.
          Check and remedy
          Install the primary transfer belt.

            Hello

            This is caused by the c clip on the transfer shaft from the gearbox wearing. the only fix is to remove and strip the gearbox to replace the worn shaft. tech bulletin CCE-589

            NSFTZ2923FCZ1 is the shaft

            LX-WZ0473FCZZ are the poly sliders, 2 requd

            Allow 2 hours to do this first time.

              bonnie750 is spot on,if you are regestered on the sharp tradenet site there is a bullitin there for this fault.To check remove the transfer belt and manually pull the gear and shaft of the transfer belt lift motor,if you get movement chances are that the c clip has come off.Bit of stripping involved but time and space allowed you should be ok.
