    Sharp MX-6201N MX-7001N Questions ?

I need a color copier in this range and would like to know what you guy's thing of theses machines ?

I have been looking at Canon's IR Advance 7055 but the weight of machine is listed as 708.9 LB and where I have to get Color Copier is in a house office and moving that could be an issue.

The Sharp is listed at 461 LB.

Beside the weight issue how is the Canon IR 7055 Compared to the Sharp MX-6201N in Service and Cost ?

Thank You For Your Input !

I cannot speak for the Canon but the 6201/7001 is a nice box. The first major PM is at 300k and is fairly easy to work on. When calibrated properly, the color/density is very nice. As for moving it, I do not think it has any built in handles. Sharp actually has a part number for the ramps to remove it from the skid. My 2 cents.
Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

You might want to do some more digging to make sure your comparing apples to apples.

What kind of work are you wanting to do?

Sharp only makes bussiness color machines. They do a pretty dam good job and make very nice prints but they are not photo printers. Your never going to get that super amazing high gloss finish. Those are a decent machine though.

            Re: Sharp MX-6201N MX-7001N Questions ?

I have 3 in the field.

One 7001, this machine has been great, to the exception of the saddle stich finisher which has given me menu problems. I have had to replace only the finisher, twice. And PM every 300k.
            Current count : 1.5 million.

One 6201. One bad registration clutch, fuser drive gear. Other than that, just PM every 300k, and rollers.
            Current count is 900k.

One 6201. One premature transfer belt. But other than that no problems. Only pms and rollers.
            Current count is 600k.

            Very profitable machines.

Resurrected thread Raoufselwaness, need to start a new one that way you get your question answered faster. Calibration is too general, developer, frame, electrical, temperature, registration, etc etc etc.
