MXM550U image shift on 2nd side only when doing 2-2 sided

This problem occurs randomly when doing 2-2 sided copies. Sometimes the image will be shifted on the 2nd sided by 15 - 20mm or it will cutoff the top of the copy by 25mm. If I do the 2 sided copies in the R direction there is no image shift on the rotated copies. I could get the problem to go away by updating the ROMs but this was only a short term solution. Unit ROM is current ver3.03. I have replaced the scan board and scan ROM with no joy. Going next for the CIS interface board then the CIS unit but wondering if anyone has seen this before. I have an earlier post on this but now it has added a new wrinkle.

We have had several MXM550N CIS pwb problems. From image shift to CQ problems that wont adjust on side two. I would definitly replace the CIS control PWB Part Number CPWBN1567FCE4
