    MX-2600N TWAIN scanning

    Hello
I ran into a new issue today on a 2600. When using the TWAIN scanner driver all letter size documents come in landscape. I looked for settings within the PC and could not find anything, and also within the webpage of the copier and did not find any TWAIN scanner settings at all. Has anyone ever ran into this, and come up with a fix? Thanks in advance!!

Why are you using a twain driver?
Isn't it easier to scan to a network folder or email?
    The possibility's are much greater!

But to give an answer to your question.....no, i haven't.

I'm with Froota, show them SMB and your twain problem will be solved, even Sharpdesk is better then twain. What does it look like if you scan it in landscape, and what program are they opening it with, that's probally the problem.

I have to agree completely! The problem is that the customer is using a dental program that they want to be able to scan via TWAIN. Why I do not know, but they do. Right now I have it scanning to a shared scan folder on the server, but their IT guy was there today and does not want anything run through the server, no scan folder, no print print drivers. He wants everything installed locally on each pc.
I have done this with no problems for other locations(same company), but most of the other locations have an MXC311 and it works fine. Anyone have any ideas?

c311 only scans 8.5x11 in the R direction, do you have the issue when you scan in the R direction on the 2600?

On the image send screen under the original button there is another button that says something about orientation. I believe that is what you are looking for. I just ran into the same thing for a customer that required twain scan, (an optometrist,) and they needed the orientation changed as well. Unfortunately I don't think there is a way to make it the default option though. I just presented it like it was still easier than going through all the steps using the slow desktop scanner and they were good with it.
            Hope that helps.
