    MX-4101N & Fuzzy Fonts

I am having an issue printing from Acrobat. I am printing using Acrobat's built in booklet printing. I am printing from their using the PCL driver set up to saddle stitch. If I use the landscape image orientation in the PCL driver settings everything looks great, but the back of each booklet page is upside down. If I select portrait, the booklet prints out properly but the fonts are no longer crisp. Any ideas? Thanks!

Using Adobe ver 10? Try rolling back to ver. 9.

Whenever I have a customer that is not happy with the font quality, I have them change the font settings under the advanced tab of printing preferences to "Download Fonts" rather than the default "Resident Fonts". It might work for you.

Alright, so that helped quite a bit. I was able to install 9.4 on top of 10. Printing the same file there is a pretty dramatic difference. 9.4 is by far better, but there is still not quite crisp. Even with 9.4, printing in landscape looks quite a bit better than portrait. Any ideas why this may be?

Thanks for the suggestion . . . I just tried that and it did not seem to have any affect.

Are you using PCL6 drivers? You could try dropping down to PCL5c.
