Could potentially be a memory issue... Are the settings changing back to 1 minute after you leave the menu?

Try changing the default energy save settings from "Eco Mode" to "Use System Settings" and set the timers, by default the Aries machines are in Eco mode and will always turn off after 1 minute unless the setting is changed to Use System Settings instead, then it will use your timer values and not the default 1 minute BS.

        From a reliable source.

Have you tried setting to follow power management instead of normal or eco mode?

I personally haven't been to class on the Aries, but one of our techs went to the shortened 3 day class. As he understood the energy save thing, no matter what you set the power management time for it would go into sleep mode after 1 minute. Perhaps the terminology is what's causing the misunderstandings.

I stand corrected, as Akitu posted, set the energy settings to "Follow System Settings" and set your timers in the "Power Management Settings". The newbie tech that went to class quoted the Sharp default timers.
