I need to drive an hour away to replace an Hard drive, does this copier take the standard 3.5" 40gb hdd IDE/SATA (2 cables one power one data)? Thanks.

it is a IDE standard size.
From my experience you need to format the hard drive first with a quick format on a pc first. This has only been on the MX color machines not the B/W machines. Also the machines now have 80gb standard. We use 120gb, so far we have not had any problems
