Ive got an AR-M205 connected to a PC freshly formatted with Windows XP Pro via USB in the the USB 2.0 slot on the copier. The latest drivers are installed and the printer shows up as a valid printer and scanner (and works to print and scan).
I'd like to update the firmware in the hopes that I will be able to not lock up the machine when attempting to scan in color, as well as have the machine scan properly once I upgrade the PC to Windows 7.
I've got the latest firmware image posted in another thread for the AR-M205 which includes the sharp integration maintenance program. When I run the program, I select the AR-M205 and it takes me to a new screen which says "The copier is not turned on."
I have also tried using the program on a fresh install of Windows 7 (x86) on the same PC, when hooked up via USB with the same results.
Any clue as to what I am doing wrong?
