How to setup FTP scanning to mac

Hi looking some help this morning, a customer of ours recently bought a mx3110n with a ps3 kit installed and can print fine but although originally said he didnt need scanning he now said it would be great if it could be setup.
The mac is running 10.6.6 and the network is just a internet modem/router I can access the web page and configure the address registration, is it ok just to use anonymous as the user name and also what format does the file directory take.

    Thanks in advance

    This is from TT-20212:
Some FTP servers will not allow anonymous access. In these cases a User Name and Password must beentered. To enter a password, click the box next to Change Password to activate the Password field and
    then enter the password.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!
