sharp M620u service call code: F2 only

hello guys,

i have some problem of my machine sharp M620u theres a service call appear on the screen (code: F2) the copier is still working but it produce light copies, i try to remove the toner cartridge and change the chips on it but still the problem occured, i try to reset simulation 14, 16, and 17 still no hope. do you have some idea guys about the said code? all your help would be appriciated i will wait for your reply guys.. thank you in advance to all.. godbless and more power guys..

What is the sub code? It could be in the toner sense area, the drum cartridge itself, or the process control (ID/DM sensors). I would clean up the drum unit and run TC 44-2.

If you can, print SIM 22-6 or go into SIM 22-4 and look at the error log. It will list the sub code.

By any chance did you take the drum out? If you forget to plug the little connector on the back of the drum frame back in after you open it up you will get F2 codes and light copies.

Double check that connector and then as ZOO said make sure it's clean and recalibrate it with 44-2

hello guys,

regarding on the machine code F2 problems before, now its okey and the trouble is gone thanks to all of you guys i apply all your advice until i found out the problem. i do the 22-4 and 22-6 to know the subcode then i saw the history f-31 and f-02 the toner cart is new installed thats why i concentrate at the drum sensor cause before the copies is light then i found out it is dirty i clean it then run the 44-2, after that it works fine no code appear.
