      1st make sure that the port on the hub is not the end port and it is set to crossover.

      2nd get on a work station and "ping" the copiers IP address. If you get a time out then there is no connection to the machine.

      If you get a reply to the ping, unplug the network cable from the copier and "ping" again. If you get a reply this time then another device has the same IP and that needs to be resolved.

      If you do not get a reply to the first "ping" try hooking up direct from a laptop or work station using a crossover cable. If you get a reply then try to print to it. If it works then the problem is in the network and most likely the hub/switch. Try another port on the hub.
