    Aries home screen image

Anyone able to shed some light on this feature? I've raided the op manual and called Sharp tech support, to say their support was limited would be an understatement.

Any info on image size restrictions etc. would be helpful, as this feature has many opportunities for some funny office pranks on the salesman... Hehe.

In my notes from class I have background limited to 310k and a button at 10K. It is done thru the web interface. I would have to get hooked to a machine to give you exact location.

I found the 10k button, the 310k on the background is helpful though. What about display size? What is the default display size of the screen (for the least pixelated image possible).

The location for changing is system settings -> operation settings -> home screen image

Just trying to figure out how to make this feature work to its fullest and produce a quality image vs something so pixelated it made NES look like an xbox.

      Thanks for the info though!

For size the only thing I have is that it is 10 inch screen with standard WVGA. I think that it puts it at 800x480.

            Background - 1024x600
            Big icons - 160x160
            Medium icons - 100x100
            Small icons - 86x86

We were also told that saving files to .gif extension rather than .jpg drastically lowers file sizes. Hope this helps.

This is currently loaded on our sales demo machine. There are only 4 buttons across the top of the screen. Sales guys don't have our sense of humor. LOL. Feel free to use if you like.
