    mx7001 f2-43

I have an MX7001 with an F2-43 code. Does anyone know what all has to come apart to remove the Process Electrode unit, since the service manual doesn't say anything about it? Thanks
I know I should be ashamed of myself. Strangely though, I am not.

Pull the toners and run 25-1 and see what readings are coming from yellow. It has to below 25 or over 231 for f2-43 occur. You could have a clogged feed pipe in a humid environment. To get to the toner remaining sensors pull the toners and remove the brackets that the toners sit in; the sensors are underneath. Section K in the service manual.
Could also have a bad DV unit or a bad yellow cart.
Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

Thanks for the response. We got it fixed today by replacing all the color drum units with new units. Thanks again.

Have a MX-5500 with the same code, only 28k color But customer has had the machine 2-3 years, primary transfer belt is ripped in 3 spots, I was wondering if that could cause the F2 -43 code? Will be replacing D V and belt

Take a really close look at your drums for wear. Any sign of aluminium and that drum is done. Once the OPC layer is gone the DV sticks to the drum, gets sucked on to the transfer belt and ends up in the waste toner. You then end up with depleated DV and light strips in your colors. Being 2-3 years old i'd say those drums are probably shot to.

We have some of these machines with 1 million black and 30k color. Those kill services margins.

Based on what I saw, I agree with Lawrence, plan on replacing all the color drums.
