Sharp MX-M363 Jamiing on Reg roller/scattering toner/error F2-40

This Machine jams on registration rollers, toner is soiling the front and back of the paper that jams and scattering badly, toner also soiling the reg. roller, Xfer roller right after I just vacuumed it. The Customer probably ran this with add toner condition for few days. The problem and the code started right after installation of the new toner Ctg. Unable to clear the F2-40. I am figuring the developer is shot, is there an issue with machine's HV supply?? I would appreciate any help, never seen this symptom before!!

Have had this issue but only on a new install. Machine will make jam at the registration roller and throw a F2-40 code. Caused by the DV unit being overtoned, check sim 25-1 reading and I bet it is under 26. You can try to run some sky shots by going into sim 7-1 and disable the DV to get your toner concentration correct but you might want to think about replacing the developer (in the 2 instances that our machines where not setup properly we wound up replacing the developer on both). Unusual to have it occur after setup though unless you didn't clean out the DV unit when you replaced the developer.

Thanks Bilyahn, that makes sense along the path of events leading to the problem. The Customer was without toner for a week, I bet they ran all they could depleting- don't know how many copies the default setting allows-and when they put in the new toner cartridge ctg. it toned back up quickly shocking the developer. I got a reading of 100 in Sim 25-1, did not think to try other sim since it was making huge mess with each copy it attempted to spit out!! Most likely the developer is due anyway it has 520K on the Machine.
Incidentally is the Developer assy good for 200k only? or is that refrence in the manual to the developer material??

If you remove the toner cart when moving the machine, it will eliminate your F2-40's.

It's for the developer material. The MXM283 is rated at 150K but uses the same developer so go figure!

Thanks Mojorolla and Bilyahn, that puts me on the right course, haven't done much with Sharp in past 6-7 years, this helps a lot to deal with a customer pinching pennies and hovering over you as you work!!
