    toner empty

    hello,

i have two full toner mx27gtma from a pastel that inserted in a machine give me a toner empty message. there was a toner supply problem and it seems that the toner counter reached the maximum. is there any reset of the toner counter?

    hi
i am not aware of any toner counter reset,
it does it by itself when you insert brand new toner cartridge,
    good luck

yes i know that, but the toner was new inserted, but after cca. 1000 copies we got the message toner empty. as i isaid there was a problem with the toner supply pipe, the toner was rotating but didn't get into the developing unit. now i have a almost full cartridge with max number of rotations i guess.

is there anything to do, to use the toner.

Have you tried the toner in a different machine?

There is a chip on the ctg that may need to be replaced at this point. Maybe try taking one off a ctg that is still running but near empty? I know the chips are programmed for each specific color too so it would need to be off the same OEM # color ctg.

If you had a toner supply problem and the machine kept rotating the toner motor but no toner appeared to be added eventually the machine will blow the CRUM chip on the back. The toner will now be considered empty in any machine it's installed into and now useless. As posted above you could try stealing a CRUM chip from another toner that is not totally empty. It's proably not worth the hassle and best to just toss that toner.
