Sim 22-5 for firmware, alternatively a 22-6 printout will also show firmware.

Akitu is correct, but a faster way is a quick two tap of the "Home" button - the version is in the lower right corner of the box that pops up.

While you're entirely correct, that just gives the firmware revision, whereas the 22-5 or 22-6 will give individual levels of firmware, both ways work very well however.

This model should still have 1st lot firmware. The 2610-3610 however just had version 4.00 released this week.
