    MXM363N Jamming

    Hi Guys,

I got an MXM363N with a reoccurring jamming problem. The jam is occurring in the dummy punch unit and seems to be due to curling that catching as it enters the dummy punch. However I can't figure out what it is catching on. Replaced the dummy punch and still the same problem.

Anyone fixed on like this before? This machine has a MXFNX6 inner finisher on it and looks like all the sharp bulletins I have access to that talk about paper curl and jamming are related to the paper transport unit.

    ???

Make sure the first plate is lined up. It has a white groove on the front side to lock in the built-in shift unit. The dumby punch attaches to this plate. Check your fans POFM 1 and 2. You could also try lowering the fuser temp to lessen paper curl

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

two place you can check for the catching the black gate on the right side door or entering the fuser unit for toner build up

          pod1_s is the error code.

I did swap the paper from normal to R as I could see waves in the paper after it went through the machine. I swapped out the exit unit.

Of course this is one of the customers who are always busy an can never be bothered with actually showing me what they were doing when it jams. Ran 150 sheets with no jam...hope that is the last call for this.

            POD1_N paper jams.
Cause: Check the condition of the fusing pressure roller.
From March 2010 (Mid), the fuser pressure roller was changed (increased hardness) therefore, replace the pressure roller if experiencing POD1_N jams with the modified version (NROLI1827FCZ1).

hope the problem is solved, the only one i could fined

            good luck

Pod1_N is not the same as Pod1_S...but thanks for the effort...I haven't heard back from the customer, so I believe we are good to go.
