I have seen this with the AR-287 series machine and we would replace the hard drive. This machine does not have a hard drive. We have replaced the MFP board, the Mother board, and the flash Roms. Has anyone encountered this on this series machine. Thanks

Re: AR-M450N stuck on rotating stars screen
The ARM450N does in fact have a HDD, else it could not be called an N model. Check the printer PWB unit, should be mounted on there. Failure to boot could be any number of things, however as you said, in past experiences it has proven to be a fault with the HDD.
Also, make sure there is no USB drives inserted into the machine while booting, as sometimes I've found the machine trying to boot off of the flash drive, causing more hangups. Disconnect it from the network too and check your results. All of the above has been a cause of a boot problem for myself at one point or another.Cthulhu for president! The ARM455N only had an optional HDD attached to the Print Control Board known as the MFP Board. The N designated that it has network capabilities. As for USB, there are no USB ports on the AR-M450N at all. Even for connecting to a computer for printing. I believe you are confusing this with the MX-M450Comment

Another known fault, check pin CN11 on the PCU board, reset & reseat this harness. It's a rarely known fault, but has happened in the past.Cthulhu for president! Why settle for the lesser evil?Comment
