AR-206 Main power switch and copying too efficient

    Hi,

I am new on this forum, not a copier tech but an electrical engineer touching everything when it is for himself, like changing timing belt on car, building extension on my house, and so on ...
I just purchased a second hand Sharp AR-206 Copier and it has 2 problems to fix:
    1) The main power switch don't stay in place on ON position, when I force it on ON position the Copier works OK. I had a look at the repair manual and on the scheme, it is wired with 6 wires. 4 thick wires for mains in and out to the power supply unit, an 2 thin wires going to the main board, one connector is marked 24 V on the main board. What is this connection for?
    2) The copier makes crisp and sharp copies, but too good :-) The ink goes throught the paper and can bee seen on the other face of the page! Ok for single sided copies but not very good for double sided copies.
With the same paper on a HP Laserjet printer I don't have this problem.
What should I look after to correct this problem?

    Best regards

The swithch is bad. I believe the two small wires are for the auto-power shut off. The only thing I can think of on the bleed through is to turn the exposure down.

' What should I look after to correct this problem?'
1- Open phone book, look for Copier Repairs.
2- Pick one and call, make appointment.
3- Lay back and get the margaritas mixed in the blender.
4- Anxiously await arrival of copier technician, while consuming margaritas so you'll be in a good mood when the tech arrives.

Yes, that is the right way for a normal man, but i am not a normal man
I am the kind of guy buying a Boeing operations manual in your shop before traveling by plane
Will be stronger as this stupid switch, no matter if my house burns after that
