Hey Ya'll,
I got a mite bit of a strange one, working on a MX-M 950 at a univeristy print shop, and they need to run a lot of transparencys, couple of hundred of them, lady running the shop tells me it has ran them before, but now it stops every time just as its getting into the transport area, at that first set of sensors, now these are a new type to me, look to be total photo-optic, no moving part, ie actuator arm, the jam code is PPD3_NM.
Now just how does a photo-optic sensor like that read a clear transparency, does it need a special type, sensing strip, I tried cleaning the sensors and all transport rollers in the unit, no go, when it jams, you can remove the misfed transparency and load a single sheet of plain paper, feeds it through with no prob.
Any ideas ???
