[Error Code] MXC311 Corrupt Firmware

Engineer update firmware via USB and now can't access SIM Mode. Machine won't allow emupdate or update via http in service mode.

Tried various board replacement and U2-30 appeared but as can't access SIM mode can't clear 'U' code error.

As machine was now in an in-operable state tried an emupdate again via rear USB but flicked the update dip switches on PWB next to USB/Network ports and now control panel is practically non-existent.

Any ideas guys?

I would start by replacing the Program 1 flash ROM, that has the boot program ( I believe).

or "Seen that before when someone 'accidentally' upgraded the incorrect firmware (eg mxc 380 firmware onto a mxc 381).
This disables the panel because they are so different, yet the engine is the same.

Reflash with correct firmware using emergency update."

I had a MXM453 last week brand new out of the box fail firmware. It killed my scanner flash rom. I was getting a E7 error code after and could not enter sims. Could not access EMupdate either. As posted above try getting a good set of flash cards in the machine.

I believe the printer memory on the MFP was at fault on mine as my machine kept failing firmware updates. I swapped out all the memory on the MFP and did firmware a few more times and all passed.

Take a close look at the memory if you need to buy none sharp memory. On the MXM453 the printer memory is DDR2 and the copy memory is DDR.

Hey there,
Are you sure you have the correct firmware??? Does the machine have a data security kit installed ??? If it does you can only update with the firmware specifically for the data security kits,same goes for machine without it. Ensure you aren't trying to load apples int a machine that only accepts oranges!!!!!
