There are some problems with PCL6 with some applications, PCL5c/e is better in most cases. Postscript is needed for MAC environments or for fine graphics.
Postscript is an option for each machine and requires a product key, like the ARP14.

First, a correction to an earlier post of mine; the ARM450N has only one slot for additional memory.
With the AR407, you will not see much difference in speed. Is the print controller maxed out with additional memory, this might help speed wise?

The print controller is the ARPB2A which has two slots for additional memory. The memory is a standard 72 pin SIMM, max size is 64MB total for the two slots. With the base memory at 64MB, the most you can get then is 128mb.

TC 22-6 is showing the copier's memory and HDD. The print controller can only take 16MB or 32MB (not a 64MB or 2x64MB) in the two additional slots.
Take the printer 'Off-Line' > Menu > test print> configuration page ---this should show you about the print controller.
Is it time for tapas and sangria yet?
