    MX4110n f2-41

I am having this issue with a brand new machine. If you go into sim 25-1 the two readinding for cyan read 255 and 1. We tried a different dv box and pcu pwb, we checked all the wiring harnesses. I took the dv box back to my demo and it worked fine. I even tried to update the firmware. The toner motor does operate and will at time s give a f2-65, Any help would be appreciated.

I have had this a lot. I even took this to Sharp and they pretty much said it was the way the toner carts were handled or stored. The carts themselves seize up and cause the F2 errors. First, replace the toner cart. Go into SIM 7-1. Highlight "disable DV checking". This will take away the machines ability to generate the F2 code. Once the machine boots back up, do a full calibration. 44-2, 44-6, 44-13 (with jig), 44-26, and 46-74. I have had this error 9 times in the past 3 months and this has worked all 9 times. Also make sure the firmware is version 4. This release was supposed to remedy this but from what I have seen, it has not.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

I had this about a month ago on a brand new install. I replaced the DV unit and so far it's been fine. That's very good info Mojo. Are ya'll changing this setting on all new set ups or just as you come across the problem?

f2-41 is your cyan toner density sensor and the other code f2-65 is cyan toner problem, take a look at the toner pipe and tray replacing the cyan dv and clean the density sensor. if SIM 25-2 comes back without an error, chances are that the pipe is clog or just shake the crap out of the cyan toner and make sure the gears turns smoothly in the back of the toner cartridge. hope that helps!!!

Thanks for all the help. We think its the outlet. We brought the machine back to our office and it seems to be working fine. The customer is having the outlet checked out. We had replaced an cannon color machine and never gave it a thought.
          Thanks again
