    AR-M550 PM Checklist

Customer has F2-37 drum mark code, failing cleaning blade at sensor mark and rotational wear at front. Anybody have a pm checklist for the AR-M550? Need to quote a customer that's been alienated by recent Sharp dealer change of hands. Meters read 230k on total, dev, maint, drum... Curious if the transfer belt needs replaced at the same time as drum, dev? Is the transfer belt an assembly, or separate belt/blade? Also line forming at thermistor or t-fuse. Is this a well advised fuser rebuild, or assembly needed? About to go fishing for parts & svc manual. Got burnt by online manual, turned out to be the circuit diagram only! Thanks much.

the pm for the ar550...the drum ar 620 dr,dv ar 620 nd x2(two bags) maint.kit ar 620 ka,transfer kit ar 620 kb,the fuser rollers ar 620 uh,620 Lh are rated at 300k.i would check the cleaning blade to make sure its cleaning the drum mark.i have seen the drum blade fail before 300k,also i wouls make sure the drum mark is good, not worn, and i would also run test command 44-2,if you replace the drum make sure you run this test command.hope this is helpful...good luck.....the 620 kb (transfer kit) has a transfer belt and two rollers.

Thanks Rainmaker. Cust says they've had it for 7 years. Front of drum is worn down to core. I could just change the blade that's streaking at the drum mark, but with 230k & 7 years, the solids aren't so good. Wouldn't you recommend a full pm?

I replace fuser as a assembly. There has been a few upgrades on them. AR-703FU1. Also the pm kits have new developer side seals so the drum wear is better.

The only reason I would also lean towards a full PM is the low meter plus years on it. We have a number of this series 550-700 that have 750 to 1.4 million where we usually got 500K on drum and developer and usually 700K on the transfer.

The biggest issue has been the fuser and as mentioned in post it has been upgraded a number of times. The part number listed above in posts is the most recent. And it is easier and cheaper to simply replace whole unit.
Most of the items that are PM items are available waaaay cheaper that ordering them as parts.
Here are 2 places you can get supplies wholesale and you can also order parts with direct ship to you via Sharp through them

I have attached a "Sharp Handi-Guide" that should be of some help.

Thanks Sam. Very helpful for pm. Noticed your in Fl., but gave west coast Collins info? Been using Collins on east coast for years. Excellent source for Sharp, Samsung. Much appreciated. If anyone has full PG or SM, I'd love to "borrow", and return the favor.

Yeah we have one in our service dept that was traded in at 8.7 million and we are going to use until at least 10. Never seems to have a problem.
