Hello guys one of my fellow engineers went to a client site today to install a data security kit , he told me he switched out the 2 roms, put in product key and th en the MFP came up with error e7-03, any idea's what can cause this, i know the E7-03 is a hdd trouble, you think the sata cable could be bad? just trying to get some info, when i go to the site tommorow,i told the tech to put back the original roms back in the MFP and see what happened, but he told me he got Error A0 15 i think thats an error Incompatible DSK BOOT and program firmware, can someone point me in the right direction please?thanks in advance

Sounds like you installed the N version of the DSK on a U machine. What model is it including U or N and if it has print or not.

Most likely the chips are mixed up or program 1 & 2 are in the wrong slots. The original chips should revert the unit back without issue. There are known issues with bad HDD cables or MFP boards. You could also try an emergency firmware update or try formatting the HDD. What model?

If you have a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 to Sata/IDE Adapter you can check it out with your computer...or you can install it in to your desktop and test it there. May just need to be reformatted. But you won't know until you plug it in.
