Yellow striping on color prints MX3501N

Didn't get to do a lot with this yesterday just cleaned the drum units and charge plus general cleaning before they closed the doors on me. Going back with my full arsenal today but thought I would ask if anyone has seen this before. Unit has 188K BW and 79K color and up to date on PM cycle and current ROMs. Getting oranges stripes repeating at a diagonal from lead to trail edge. Interesting point is they do not cover 100% of the print. The top and bottom of the pages have little or no stripes. Has anybody come across this before? Primary and secondary belts were pretty dirty and the primary looked worn but no images on belt. Here are a couple of images to see what I am talking about! I did notice that the image repeats itself about the diameter of a drum unit but none of the units appear damaged in any way.

Thank you for your time and effort in this matter.

Have you tried cleaning the coronas?? I had a similar problem with a 4111N and cleaning the coronas solved the problem.

It looks like the cyan developer unit to me, did you physically check the amount of developer in the unit?

if its low youll need to re-dev it and check the drum surface to make sure its not arcing out at all

Had an identical pattern on an MX5001N in the black. The drum was worn and pulling all the dev from the unit, even though I couldn't see anything that would typically identify a worn out drum, swapping it resolved the issue. As stated above me, check to make sure your dev hasn't been pulled and take a look at your drum.

Thanks Marshall and Ditchman. I cleaned the coronas but am taking new charge units with me today. I did not verify the amount of DV in the Cyan unit, the mag brush looked good and there was no obvious arcing sign or dumped developer but will look more closely at this also!!

What I have seen a few times is the developer will "clump" on the toner sensor. Take a look inside all your color developer units and clean the sensors. Put them back in and let the machine tone up etc. I have had this work for me a few times. I think what is going on is the sensor thinks there is plenty of toner so it doesn't add any.

You called it Ditchman! Took a look again at the DV unit and you can see the spiral bands on the mag roller. Changed all 3 color DVs and the charge unit on the cyan drum. Did not seem to be pulled developer anywhere and the drums have only 15K on them. Did color calibration and we are good to go! Thanks for all the responses!

Glad you got sorted, hopefully it'll last this time, should do if youve replaced the chargers to.
