    [Jamming] MX-3501N with PPD2_N1 jams

Won't feed a single sheet in color mode. B&W mode feeds fine. Stops just before reg. roller. Every jam registers as PPD2_N1. Colored drums are coated solid with toner. Cleaned (w/ no improvement) and then swapped out drum phase sensors from working machine. Transfer belt almost new - transfer belt unit looks pristine. Approx. 225k on total counter. Got me spooked & stumped. Would have put money on it being a drum phase problem.

Check the laser shutter solenoid. Can you print internal color prints from SIM 64-5? Is the cam inside the belt applying the three color FTR rolls? Drive gear and pin in one piece?

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

Symptom: Constant PPD2_N1 jam, only when printing/copying in colour mode (B/W copying/printing is ok)
Cause: Check/Clean or replace the colour drum phase sensor [PG41-24 CPWBF0083QSE5]. Check the sensor operation/interruption using Sim 30-01 (DHPD_CL).
Also check the trouble history (Sim 22-04) for any F2-51 errors.

We had one doing almost the exact same thing it turned out to be the paper feed clucth unit in the back. lower left. It didnt make much sense but it worked. Also make sure you update the firmware. Good Luck
