Sharp AL 1457 Pick up problems.

Hi Guys,

Got a problem with one of these machines. The timing of the paper pick up clutch solenoid seems to be all over the place.
Sometimes it will pulse once and another time it may pulse twice.
sometimes when pulsing twice, the second pulse may be 180 degrees out of phase.
This is causing registration and jamming problems.
Anyone know of a common fault with these.

Try cleaning the clutch. Have had a lot of issues with misfeeds on the smaller machines that cleaning the clutch fixed.
