Sharp MX-3501N Finisher not stapling all the papers together. MX-FNX1. When stapling 5 sheet of paper the stapler will not staple page 3 and or page 4. Very inconsistent at best. So far i have cleaned rollers cant seem to find anything acting up. I did notice that the pages 3 and 4 are being ejected out farther but don't know why.

      Hi

I fixed a fault like yours by chopping away the bottom of knurling belt housing.

this exposed more of the knurling belt to the paper

I chopped 2 - 3 millimetres from the bottom of item number 14 x 2 on both sides (bottom being below the E clip item 12)

I have had this problem on some of the bigger finishers however I am sure that the problem could be similar.

After multiple uses the actuator that lets the machine know that the paper is in the stapler can get a little grove on it which can catch the pages as they go in cause them not to be all properly align and mis-staple. Not exactly sure if this is your problem but do check the actuators, it is not uncommon for them to have a small 'paper cut' in them.

        Hope this helps!

Sorry for late response - I have found that over time, the grease on the guide shat becomes a bit tacky. I clean it all off and put a very small amount of oil on a rag, then wipe the shaft with the rag.
