[Misc] MX 5001N and FX 10 Finisher not stapling

Hi!

The finisher will not staple on upper left corner and will not staple on saddle stitch mode. It will fold the paper but just does not staple.

We just took over this account and customer said that it had "always been that way".

Could this just be a setting? Or is this a more common problem?

It sounds like the staplers are out of sync. Pull the edge stapler all the way to the front. The saddle stitch should also come to the full forward position. If there is a gap, your staplers will need to be synced. There is a bulletin regarding syncing the staplers: MFP-TB-307. Not a very fun procedure though.
