MX-2300N, some users can no longer scan.

A remote client of ours has a MX-2300N, they have it setup for all of their users to be able to scan directly to their desktops. After a recent electrical storm, they had their network guy come in and re-network some stuff (the client is very un-savvy when it comes to technology, he was unable to tell me anything other than they had to have him come in because the "server" was fried. They do not have a server.) I figured it was simply an issue of the machines not having the correct IP addresses anymore, but when I logged into the control panel for the printer, the IPs for both workstations were correct. I ripped out the driver and reinstalled for both machines, even though they could still print fine, and still no luck. I'm really not sure where to go beyond that as there's no prompt or dialog that says anything failed on the scanner or on the desktop it's supposed to be sending to. Curious if I'm overlooking something obvious, I wasn't able to find anything related in my research so I figured I'd ask her.

    Thanks in advance.

What did she have to say? (perhaps DNS settings have changed)

      Heh

I actually just ended up figuring it out and it wasn't the scanner's fault at all. Someone had been dinking around with both workstations that were having issues and had basically cranked the settings on the Firewall up to disallow all incoming connections, so even though the Network Scan Tool was allowed and I'd manually opened the ports, it was still shutting it the hell down on it's way in. Thanks for the reply though!
