Here are a couple of tips from Sharp net. The flashing of ROMs on this machine is not the easiest. The spring they are talking about is on the feed assembly just below the drum. This comes out fairly easily and a quick check. The spring in question is under the metal rail right below the reg roller. It is very easy to misplace if you have taken it apart.

Solution :

• Re-flash or replace the PCU flash rom

Cause :

• Corrupt flash rom on PCU pwb

Solution :

• Check for missing ground spring on the PS roller unit. Section 3 item 18 of the parts guide. Also check for conductive grease used with this spring.

Cause :

• Missing ground spring

Un-plug the network and check & clear print jobs pending on each workstation.
I get european paper sets that lock the machine.
I can only assume that you get inch print jobs that lock up the machine.
Microsoft Publisher is very unfriendly when it comes to paper size.

I have gotten Euro sets alott with bad PDF's locking up these machines..
