Please help. I've been searching the forums and haven't found the quite the right solution. Hoping to find help here.
Have a four year old Sharp AR-M207, with 23,767 count for scans getting a 936 error code. It was scanning up until just a month or two ago.
With over three years and the 23K+ scans I don't think the trial scan issue is at work.
When going to the web interface and looking under Device Setup / Product Key Settings there are two options, Postscript and Email Status & alerts. Neither one has a Product Key in them. Could the machine have 'lost' the product key.
I'm not seeing anywhere in the web interface how to find out how much RAM is installed (and the copier is a few hours drive away). I know that RAM *can* go bad, but it is not common.
Under Network Setup / Connection Test there are two tests, LDAP and SMTP. LDAP tests just fine but SMTP fails.
I know of no network changes that could account for the loss in scanning. There is another copier/scanner in another building that is still working just fine.
Anyone have any ideas?
