Sharp MX M3110n counter cleared

I have a Sharp MX M 3110n that had a maintenace light on. Went into Sim 24 and cleared. now it seems to have reset the total count is there any way to revert or to get the true meter count. Or tell me what the tech did wrong. i also hade a similar thing happen to a Mx M2700n it seemed to only reset the Printer count. Thanks

Hi dont worry.
22-06 will print out the correct counter
24 will not reset this one

We always print out a 22-6 and the meter count as the first thing when we get to a call.

After you fix everything, then we do a 24-1 and clear the "Machine", "SPF", and "Trouble" counters, so that we have baseline of a working machine and know that any codes/jams the next time are new issues.

Sim 24-2: if you replace any paper feed tires in the trays, you reset them here.

Sim 24-3: if you replace the feed tires in the doc feeder, reset it here.

Sim 24-4: clears Maintenance counters for things like fuser, drums, transfer belts, etc. Clear only the things that you have replaced.(i.e. select only "DRUM CTRG K" if you replaced the black drum and do not select the other color drums)

Sim 24-5: clears the Developer counter

You shouldn't have to use these next three sims except for specific reasons (we use these only to reset our Rental machines to zero so we and the rental customers know how many copies/prints/scans they have done and get charged accordingly.)
Sim 24-6: clears the Copy counters
Sim 24-9: clears the Prints counters
Sim 24-15: clears Scan-related counters

I'd make sure that your techs do not clear any counters using those last three Sims.

Clearing any of those maintenance, parts, or developer counters should not affect the Total Counts, so I am not sure why it is resetting your total counts to zero, unless you do any of those last three sims.

Print a 22-6 then use the secret simulation code to reset the meter, i'm not going to post the secret sim code on the internet!
