[Misc] User name for scan function

We have a new Sharp MX2610N MFC and no one including our sales guy can help...

    Scanning a document for email...

When scanning a document to email, I like to enter my email address as the "reply to" address. However, I am told the only way to do this is with "direct entry" (having to type my email address for in each and every scan). I have a very hard time believing this. Our ten year old Lanier copier would allow this with just to steps. See below:

Press scan and a menu for the address book pops up
I touch my name in the address book then ok
then I touch options (center of the touch screen) which pops up a "reply to" screen
I touch on "reply to" and a "user name menu opens
On the far right of the touch screen, I have the option for "call by user # or direct entry...

How do I enter my email address so I can recall it as a user # so I do not have to direct enter my email address each time I scan.

    Thank you

To get what you are looking for set up the user list, under system setting (admin). It is explained in the users manual, that you can download from the machine, on page 5-31.

In address book, destination list, one touch settings, wherever you program the address there should be something that says register, add as, program SENDER.
So that they can attach sender name.
The idea is the same, the terminology is different.
Most machines can set a default address so they don't have to push more buttons.
No offence, but rtfb. It will be in one of the Operator Manuals, most likely the scanner setup and Op manual.
When we find the answer ourselves we remember them.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

^What he said^. Add them to the sender list which you can select from in the condition settings.
