[Misc] Scan to folder issue Sharp MX-4112/MX-2610

    Hi,

We encouter some problems with networkscanning to a server, this on the MX-4112 and MX-2610, both in the same network consisting of about 150 machines.
At some irregular times we are losing the connection to the server, and we are getting the message that scan to folder is not possible.

The customer has to make a cold reboot of the MFP, otherwise the problem continues.

We already updated both firmware to version 6, but the problem resists.

At this moment I can't give more information about the operating system etc. but if needed i can ask more details to the customer.
It's a very large company with a very professional helpdesk, so I assume that this could be a more difficult problem.

    Anyone a solution?

    Kind regards!

Are your copiers set to DHCP or a static IP address? It's possible they're setup as DHCP and their firewall might block it as the lease on the IP address runs out.
Cthulhu for president! Why settle for the lesser evil?

make sure whatever username youre using to authenticate for the folder scanning has the domain name with a backslash in front of it. it's been known to work inconsistently when permissions on a network arent set in stone. i.e. domain\username
Also, make sure you check the "set as default used" box when creating any new profiles in the address book.
