Re: question on sharp MXM450 cross to Oce 4512
The problem the copier is having is sometimes, after powering up, the LCD displays the Enter Product Key for Network Scanner message. Even when we enter the correct numbers (off the back panel of the copier), the copier says the key is incorrect.
Sometimes, performing a hard drive reformat will clear this message and the copier will come to ready. What we need to know is how we bypass this Network Porduct Key screen when a reformat doesn't clear it. On this model of copier, once the screen pops up, you can not even copy off the glass. Previous versions would only challenge you for a key if you actually tried using the scan feature.
This product key registration problem basically renders the copier useless until a fix can be found. I have not found any service code that cancels this screen.Comment
